Before your first set
Start with a patch test.
It tells us how your skin responds to the adhesive before a full set. I book it ahead, and it takes about 15 minutes. You watch the spot at home for a day.
Come with clean lashes
No eye makeup, no curler and no oil-based products on or near your eyes that day.
Leave lenses at home
Take contact lenses out before you arrive, or bring your glasses.
Arrive on time
A short grace period holds for a delay. After that the visit is shortened, not extended.
Who should wait
Tell me before your visit if any of these apply, and we'll find another day.
An eye problem
An eye infection, irritation or a recent procedure on your eyes or eyelids. Check with your doctor first if you're unsure.
A reaction before
A reaction to adhesive, tape or eye products. Tell me what happened, and we'll decide together whether to go ahead.
Sensitive eyes today
If your eyes are watering, red or sore on the day, I'd rather rebook than start.
Questions before your visit
Can I wear makeup to my visit?
Please come with no eye makeup. Makeup and oils get in the way of the adhesive, and I'd have to clean it off before we start.
Can I bring a friend?
Visits are for the client, 18 and over, and the room is small. A friend is welcome to wait outside.
If something feels wrong.
If you notice burning, swelling, redness or blurred vision, tell me and call your doctor or go to urgent care.
